Zhuji city can be a nice getaway from Shanghai for a weekend!
It is located in the north-central part of Zhejiang province and has long history and a rich cultural background. The best way to get there is to take a direct train from Hangzhou (meeanwhile check out traditional Chinese dance performance near West Lake).
The first stop was Yuchang, located in Sizhai village, Dongbaihu town, Zhejiang province.
The museum which we visited has the characteristics of Ming and Qing furniture, Yuexiu silver and all kinds of traditional calligraphy and painting, porcelain, wood carving decoration, etc.
Si's ancient residence and Huaguogong villa in Donghai ecological tourism area are located at the west foot of Kuaiji mountain and at the junction of Zhuji. Because of the little known geographical location here and the descendants of the Si family to the ancestral home of the treasure, the residential here is very well preserved, there were hundreds of thousands of cultural relics.
In Zhuji there are still many such ancient historical buildings.
On our way we have visited several of them, like community house and primary school.
The first stop is the Yue hong museum, where you can experience tea picking, tea making, tea tasting, and learn about the Yue tea culture. Located in the town of Dongbaihu, Zhuji was once the ancient capital of the state of Yue, the hometown of Xi Shi, and the birthplace of the ancient Yue culture.
Visit Meiguoguo town, a parent-child paradise themed on ecology. A popular place with many agricultural products and technologies, dubbed as the agricultural version of Disneyland, covering more than 3,000 acres.
Red dragon fruit tourism factory is the tourism factory where one can learn a lot of dragon fruit related knowledge, only here you can also try an original cake and soup made of dragon fruits!
Thanks for reading. Let me know if you have any questions!
Stay tuned for the second part of Zhuji adventures.
